MARBELLA WANTS IT BACK

MARBELLA Town Hall has created a unit to deal specifically with recovering municipal goods which have been embargoed in the ‘Saqueo’ and ‘Malaya’ cases. The deputy mayor, Maria Francisca Caracuel, has said that there is hope that the town hall will recover money that has been lost from these goods.

A High Court sentence has considered Juan Antonio Roca, Jose Luis Sierra and Manuel Jorge Castel guilty and they will have to pay the town hall 24.3 million euros in damages. The companies Jesus Gil Promociones Futbolisticas and Rancho Valdeolivas will also have to pay back some three million euros. The goods include properties and even shares in Atletico Madrid.
